Findings
Whole body - single ventrodorsal radiograph is available for review.
In the plane of the mid to caudal cervical soft tissues (right sided cranially, and directed toward midline caudally), there is a tubular faintly mineral opaque structure (3cm in length and 0.6cm in width), consistent with the reported feeding tube. In the caudal celom, there is a round, mineral opaque structure (2mm). The remainder of the structures included in collimation are normal.
Diagnosis
- Esophageal/crop foreign body consistent with the reported missing feeding tube.
- Probable intestinal mineral opaque focus, likely incidental.
Discussion
The foreign object was removed successfully.
Notes
This case was initially seen by Dr Debow.
