Abdomen - ventrodorsal and lateral radiographs are available for interpretation.

Abdominal serosal detail is normal given age of the patient.

The liver and spleen are normal. The kidneys and urinary bladder are largely obscured. The included portions of the thorax are normal. The physes are open consistent with the patient's age.

The stomach contains a mild to moderate volume of gas. There is a heterogeneously soft tissue opaque structure which contains stippled to linear gas foci within the pylorus that extends into the proximal duodenum. There are two populations of small intestine which contain mild volumes of stippled heterogeneously soft tissue opaque material, homogeneously soft tissue opaque material and gas. Multiple small intestinal segments have a bunched appearance and contain fragmented/tapered intraluminal gas opacities within the cranial abdomen. The colon contains a moderate volume of gas.

Surgical consultation and exploratory laparotomy are indicated.

Discussion

The patient underwent surgery and cloth material was removed from its GI tract.
