Findings

Orthogonal radiographs of the thorax are available for interpretation.

Diagnosis

There is moderate increased opacity noted in the caudo-dorsal lung field (interstitial to early alveolar), with at least the presence of 2 gas filled round structures on the right side. There is a partial rib fracture affecting rib 11 on the right side, most seen on the right lateral projection. The remainder of the thorax is otherwise within normal limits.

Discussion

Changes consistent with pulmonary contusion, pneumatocele and at least one rib fracture.
