Findings

Lateral and ventrodorsal radiographs centered on the lumbosacral spine are acquired.

There is narrowing of the L7-S1 intervertebral disc space. The caudal endplate of L7 and the cranial endplate of the sacrum are ill-defined with multifocal small regions of lysis and adjacent moderate sclerosis. There is mild ventral subluxation of the sacrum in relation to L7. There is increased lobular soft tissue opacity within the retroperitoneal soft tissues, just ventral to the caudal lumbar vertebral bodies.

A urinary catheter is in place, superimposed with the right sided and dorsal soft tissues.

Diagnosis

Discussion

The patient was treated medically, however, there was no improvement of the clinical signs and the patient was eventually euthanized.
