History
5 months old yorkshire terrier. Bunny hoping most of the time.

Findings
Lateral and VD projections of the pelvis are available for interpretation.
The physes are open, consistent with the patient’s young age.
There is irregularity and increased radiolucency of the left femoral head as well as osseous remodeling of the left acetabulum. There is thickening and sclerosis of the left femoral neck.
There is marked atrophy of the left thigh and gluteal musculature.
Diagnosis
- Left femoral head and neck changes are consistent with aseptic necrosis of the left femoral head (Legg-Calve-Perthes).
Left thigh and gluteal muscle atrophy is likely secondary to reduced weight-bearing.
