Findings
The patient has a large amount of subcutaneous adipose tissue which is asymmetric along the left and right thoracic and abdominal wall and has a lobulated contour along the ventral thorax on the lateral views. The cardiovascular structures are normal. The pulmonary vessels are mildly undersized. In the left caudal lung lobe, there is a large round gas opacity (3cm diameter) with a well-defined thin soft tissue opaque rim. The remaining pulmonary parenchyma is normal. There is a fusiform soft tissue opacity superimposed with the dorsal lumen of the cervical trachea, consistent with a redundant tracheal membrane. Within the mid body of the left ninth rib, there is a focal irregular to smooth osseous proliferation. There are a few small round gas opacities within the dorsal subcutaneous cutaneous tissues.
