Findings

There is a large ill-defined primarily soft tissue opaque mass in the right cranial lung lobe. The mass is centered over the cranial lobar bronchus and also contains a moderate amount of gas. A small fairly well defined soft tissue opaque nodule is identified in the ventral aspect of the left caudal lung lobe. The esophagus is moderately gas distended.

There is a rightward mediastinal shift on the VD view with an area of ill-defined increased soft tissue opacity in the region of the caudal subsegment of the left cranial lung lobe.

There is a metallic bullet in the right axillary region.

Diagnosis

Large soft tissue mass in the right cranial lung lobe is most consistent with neoplasia. The primary differential is bronchoalveolar carcinoma with a small metastatic lesion in the left caudal lung lobe.

The increased opacity in the caudal subsegment of the left cranial lung lobe may represent an additional mass given the rightward mediastinal shift.

Pathology Report

Further diagnostic were declined by the owner.
