Findings

In the caudal abdomen, ventral to the colon, there is a fully mineralized fetus. The head of the fetus is located at the edge of the pelvic canal. The fetus is surrounded by a large amount of gas which highlights the soft tissues of the fetus which are emphysematous. The mammary parenchyma is prominent.

Diagnosis

Emphysematous necrotic fetus and presence of intrauterine gas.
