Findings

Orthogonal radiographs of the thorax and abdomen are available for interpretation.

Diffusely throughout the pulmonary parenchyma there is a large amount of soft tissue nodules of various sizes coalescing with each others. Overall the cardiac silhouette is within normal limits. The musculoskelettal system is within normal limits

In the cranial abdomen, there is mild to moderate loss of serosal detail. Within the right cranial abdominal quadrant there is an area of ill-defined mineralization mostly noted at the level of T11-T12 on the VD projection. The remainder of the abdomen is considered to be within normal limits.

Diagnosis

The pulmonary nodules are most consistent with pulmonary metastasis.

The mineralization in the cranial abdomen associated with the focal loss of serosal detail could be secondary to a neoplastic process (pancreatic adenocarcinoma) and local effusion/carcinomatosis

Pathology Report

The patient was diagnosed with pancreatic carcinoma and associated pulmonary metastasis.
