Findings

Radiographs of the left forelimb are available for interpretation.

There is luxation of the left shoulder in the cranio-proximal direction, resulting in moderate overiding of the proximal humerus over the distal aspect of the scapula. Subjectively ther is mild to moderate soft tissue swelling surrounding the left shoulder.

Incidentally on the edge of the radiographs, there is a mild to moderate amount of pulmonary atelectasis secondary to the sedation.

Diagnosis

Left shoulder luxation of a 5 months old bear cub.
