3 images
Findings
Overall the pulmonary parenchyma and cardiovascular structures are within normal limits for the age, breed and body condition score of the patient. There is foreshortening and lysis of T6. The ventral cortex of T6 is ill-defined. There is no soft tissue mass noted on the ventral aspect of the spine There is a moderate amount of ventral spondylosis in the caudal aspect of the thoracic spine.
Diagnosis
Lytic process and associated pathologic fracture of T6. Primary consideration is given to a neoplastic process such as osteosarcoma or fibrosarcoma. The MRI images available are T1 post contrast, the first one is at the level of the lesion, where a normal vertebral body is no longer seen and the spinal cord is compressed. The second one is a normal image for comparison.
Pathology Report
