Findings

Abdomen: Lateral and VD radiographs of the abdomen were included. The liver and spleen are unremarkable. The kidneys are normal. The urinary bladder is partially distended. There is an 8 cm well delineated soft tissue mass noted cranial and ventral to the urinary bladder. The prostate is within normal limits. No evidence of sublumbar lymphadenopathy is noted. The G.I. tract is unremarkable. There is spondylosis noted at the lumbosacral junction with mild ventral displacement of the sacrum with respect to the caudal endplate of L7 and proliferative changes on the articular facets. Mild degenerative changes are noted in the coxofemoral joints.

Diagnosis

Conclusion: 1) Mass located cranial and ventral to the urinary bladder is most consistent with a paraprostatic cyst. Correlation with ultrasound exam could be considered. 2) Incidental findings include changes at the lumbosacral junction supportive of lumbosacral instability with secondary remodeling. Chronic intervertebral disc disease with multiple collapsed disc spaces and spondylosis noted in the midthoracic spine. Mild degenerative changes in the coxofemoral joints.
