Findings
Examination of the radiographs of the thorax reveals the presence of a metallic fishhook in the caudal esophagus to the junction with the stomach. More proximal is a circular metallic object thought to be a lead sinker associated with the fishing line. No findings are present to suggest perforation of the esophagus at this time. Numerous non-related linear metallic foreign structures are also visualized within the cranio-ventral abdomen. Noted is degenerative change in scapulohumeral joints and elbows. No other changes are identified.
Diagnosis
Fishhook and lead sinker within the esophagus as described.
